Vitaly Platform

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Vitaly MDT is a digital application designed to support regional Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) in healthcare. The platform enables structured collaboration between diverse clinical roles involved in complex patient pathways, ensuring that critical information is accessible, shared, and actionable at the right moment.

INSIGHT
Modern MDTs operate across organizational, technical, and professional boundaries. While clinical expertise is distributed among many specialists, the information required for effective decision-making is often fragmented across systems, formats, and workflows. The core insight was that improving outcomes does not start with adding more data, but with presenting the right data in a way that aligns with how healthcare professionals actually work together.
The challenge
The project faced several interconnected UX challenges. The platform needed to support multiple personas, each with distinct responsibilities, priorities, and levels of digital literacy. At the same time, it had to coexist with multiple Hospital Information Systems (HIS), each with its own data structures and constraints. Ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience across these variations—without oversimplifying complex clinical workflows—was critical to adoption and long-term success.
Solution
The solution was a unified interface that consolidates all essential patient and MDT information into a single, coherent view. This reduced cognitive load and eliminated the need for clinicians to switch between systems during preparation and decision-making. The UX was designed to enable fast onboarding, allowing new users to become productive with minimal training, even when joining an MDT for the first time.
A flexible design system and role-aware information hierarchy made it possible to address the differing needs of organizations and professional roles without fragmenting the experience. As a result, healthcare professionals were able to work significantly more efficiently—reducing administrative friction, improving meeting preparedness, and contributing to an estimated 50% efficiency gain. Clearer visibility and better coordination also led to a measurable decrease in MDT rescheduling rates, directly improving continuity of care.
