ABOUT THE PROJECT

Beatrice is a boutique apartment resort that combines a renovated historic villa with a contemporary residential building. The website’s role was to translate the on-site atmosphere into a calm, elegant digital experience while supporting exploration and promote booking.

As a UX designer, my focus was on structuring the content and interactions to balance emotional storytelling with clarity and ease of use.

INSIGHT

In hospitality, users form trust long before they consider booking. Visual tone, pacing, and clarity often matter more than detailed feature descriptions. The key insight was that the experience should feel unhurried and composed, allowing users to absorb the atmosphere while being gently guided toward action.

The challenge

The main challenge was balancing emotional storytelling with practical clarity. The website needed to communicate premium quality without becoming visually heavy, support different user intents without fragmenting the experience, and maintain a sense of calm while still encouraging conversion.

Every element had to justify its presence and reinforce the overall mood.

Solution

I designed a clear narrative flow that starts with emotion and gradually introduces information, using hierarchy, spacing, and restraint to reduce cognitive load.

Interactions and calls to action were intentionally subtle, ensuring they support the journey without disrupting it.

The final experience mirrors the Beatrice brand: elegant, calm, and purposefully designed to convert without pressure.
